ABOUT ME

I have a strong passion and drive to create interior spaces that not only shelter and function but inspire and bring joy.

I was driven to pursue interior design work from decades of experience in the building and construction industry.  My parents ran lumberyards in the Willamette Valley, worked in construction and were in building material sales.  Following in their footsteps I worked my way up from physically working in those yards to managing a lumberyard for many years.  The hands-on experience and knowledge of the workings of the home from foundation to finish offered a unique perspective when addressing home design. 

After a transfer into corporate marketing/design I decided it was time to make a dramatic change.  With the support of my husband, I started Adorn.  During the beginning I expanded my experience and knowledge by assisting in real estate marketing and working at a local furniture store.

Throughout my career I have been fortunate to develop great relationships with a variety of industry professionals both through my work at Parr Lumber but also through the many community programs I was a part of.  Being on the board of organizations like the Home Builders Association and Habitat Restore helped shape strong ties to my community.

I am a true Oregonian who loves the rain and living in the Willamette Valley.  I enjoy spending time with my husband, standard poodles, friends and family.  In my spare time I'm usually building things, crafting or hiking somewhere beautiful.
